Adenoma Detection Rate: GATE physicians detect and remove more (adenomas) pre-cancerous polyps through screening colonoscopies than the benchmark numbers set by The American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. Nationally the goal set by ASGE is to detect and remove 25% of adenomas in both men and women. In the 4th quarter of 2015 the GATE physicians detected and removed 42% for males and 44% for women through screening colonoscopies.
